On Sunday February 23, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 145 animals: 84 dogs and 61 cats. This number is beginning to be regarded as a "small" clinic as our outreach continues to expand and more Panamanians embrace this healthy measure for their animals.
We had five vets working and though it seemed a bit crowded at times in our small quarters, it was a very smooth running clinic and we managed to be finished by 5pm.
We would like to give a special thanks to Rodrigo Marciaq of Naturex who brought us his beautiful lettuce for salads, Nairn who brought us a hot lunch even on her birthday, and Mike and Heidi who delivered pizza for our vets and many other volunteers who made sure that we were well fed during the day. Our thanks go to everyone in the community for your continued support.
Our hard working volunteers have immediately switched gears and begun working on the Venta de Patio for the Bid4Boquete fund raiser this weekend. Animales benefits greatly from the proceeds of B4B and I hope everyone will turn out for this wonderful and fun event.
The next clinic will be Sunday March 30. Please contact Yasmin at 6563-8686 for reservations.
