[News Boquete] Super volunteer - Gail Cody

Although she lives in El Banco, on the other side of Potrerillos, on a road virtually impassable at times, Gail Cody always seems to be on hand for volunteer work. She is a valuable volunteer for Boquete Hospice and Healthcare, participating in both training and client care. Gail also is active in Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, where she is affectionately known as "the Bag Lady" for her leadership in organizing the over 100 parcels of food distributed by this charity every month. A mainstay at Fundacion Pro Intregracion (the Handicapped Foundation), Gail’s professional nursing experience and caring nature makes her a favorite every Saturday when the group gathers to share their day together, especially when she brings the ever-popular Rodny Moreno to join the group from his remote home near Gail's. Rodny is Boquete's emergency point person, and his outreach is enhanced by Gail's active participation in his life.

 

For the past four years Gail has served as chairperson of the Cashiers Committee for Bid 4 Boquete. As B4B has grown, Gail has handled the increasing challenge with innovative ideas, all of which have made this multi-faceted, multi-day  job run smoothly and securely. She attends B4B volunteer meetings regularly, is very proactive, and always thinks of things the rest of us forget and comes up with new and better ways of doing things. Gail Cody is one in a million.  She’s a Super Volunteer for the Boquete community.
