On Sunday May 25, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 195 animals: 114 dogs and 85 cats. It was a long hot day and rather cramped in our little clinic at the former Amigos de Boquete office. That number was a record for us at this site and the close quarters made us all long for the time when we will be in our own home, possibly (hopefully) for the first clinic of 2015.
It was a day for hot dogs, cool cats, and very cold kittens at the end. Our thanks go out to all who worked so hard at set-up, the clinic, and take-down the next day. And the vets were rock stars as always…they went into the surgery room at 8:30 am and I do not think they came out again until it was all over at 6:30 pm. They are the best!
Many thanks to our food providers who keep us going all day: Nancy Halbert and her deelish breakfast as well as her hot dog stand, Bert's fabulous lunch, Mike and Heidi's pizza, and the fresh lettuce from Rodrigo.
The next clinic will be on Sunday June 29.
