Chris' Culinary Adventures This week has been pretty wild and crazy...We have been working really hard on launching a new menu at Sabor in Valle Escondido, and so far it seems to be going pretty well! We have some really cool, new, menu items that we are very excited about serving to "y'all"! To mention a few, we are adding some refreshing new salads that can also be made into wraps, and a new tantalising gluten free section that is not the normal run-of-the-mill. We will keep you posted on the launching date. For those who are coming to visit us in Panama be prepared for an awesome adventure, great sites to see, perfect climate, topped off with a fantastic restaurant to meet your dietary needs ;) You won't be disappointed. I am excited to have you come. For those who haven't had the thought, consider coming. We have tours of world renowned coffee farms, waterfalls, cloud/rain forest hikes, Volcan Baru tours, white water rafting and kayaking, and bird watching to mention a few. Within a 2 hour drive you can enjoy the white sand beaches, or jump on a water taxi to some of the best coral reef islands and still make it back in time for dinner. For those who truly want to relax and have a few rounds of golf, enjoy the spa, a heated indoor pool or relax on the deck of the outdoor pool, the staff at Valle Escondito is here to accommodate your needs. In my efforts to give back, several great charity projects have been presented to me. One in particular (that I have been working on in my spare time) has me bursting with excitement and anticipation. I will tell you all about the different ones as soon as the team and I sit down and fine tune what we are going to do. Following are some photos of Project Joshua, the last charity event that we did. The residual side effects are still pouring in. He received a new bed and a new wheel chair. To recap, Joshua is a young man that is 14 years old and severely handicapped. We were able to raise over $5,000 dollars in goods and money. His mother used some of the money to finish building their home, and purchase highly needed items to help her care for him. Until next week! |
