[News Boquete] A personal call re BJBF2014

A personal call for support for BJBF2014

Hi all,

the wonderful Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival is in severe dire straits financially.

It urgently needs your support NOW!

I'm assuming that you most probably have read the BJBF president's letter to the Boquete community that has been published recently. If not, you can read it here: http://boquete.ning.com/forum/topics/letter-to-the-boquete-coomunity

Since I as the previous BJBF president have spent two years of my life organizing the successful 2012 and 2013 festivals, and since the survival of this great project is very dear to my heart I'd like to follow up to Steve Bliss's "Call for Action" with my own appeal to each and everyone of you:

Do whatever you can to keep the Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival going!

☛ Let's make this a sold-out event! Buy your tickets NOW!

Buy some of the great and very colorful festival merchandise NOW!

Sign up for the Fedora Club and become a festival VIP NOW!

Become a festival benefactor by signing up for a $2000 loan NOW!

Join us at the January 8 Black&White fundraiser party at the Valle del Rio Hotel, starting a 5pm!

The Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival has always been an all-volunteer community based event, an event the Boquete community can be very proud of. There's nothing like this anywhere in Central America!

The festival organizers are trusting that the community will continue to support this incredible world-class festival, YOUR festival…but we haven't seen enough of that support yet.

It's never been easy….never will be.

But it can be done!

A seven year history proves it!

The acts are booked for a great line-up, the information is out, the merchandise is selling, the rooms, meals, gear, sound, volunteers, help and support of Valle Escondido, Mike's Global Grill, the Panamonte Inn and Spa, and The Rock are all in for doing their parts in hosting the AllStarJams, the Boquete hotels are already filling up with bookings of visitors from within Panama as well as from the US and Europe. The countdown is on!

With a little help from our friends….

Let's have another great festival!

Please go to our website www.boquetejazzandbluesfestival.com to learn more about the program, line-up, tickets, merchandise and the Fedora Club.

Tickets (also fundraiser tickets) are available at Mailboxes ETC in Boquete, David, Chitre, Bocas del Toro, the Tuesday market in Boquete and the Valle Escondido hotel.

To sign up for a $2000 loan call Steve Bliss directly at 6606-0997 or email: steve @ blisworks.biz or call Kjersten Van Horn at 6614-0214 or email: riverranchfarms @ gmail.com

See y'all at the Valle del Rio Hotel on Wednesday!
