Tom and Carol Hurst arrived in Boquete only two years ago, but they hit the ground running. They built friendships, explored the possibilities, and then volunteered to help build a better community in any way they could.
Currently, Carol serves as Chair of the Bid 4 Boquete Silent Auction Committee, our biggest and most lucrative sales venue. An excellent cook, she has donated many meals for auction.
Carol also serves as Secretary and Membership Chair of Amigos de Animales de Boquete, in which post she has expanded the membership base and rebuilt the rosters of businesses offering discounts to Animales members. She's also a regular volunteer at the monthly spay and neuter clinics helping to prep the animals for surgery.
Tom, always willing to help anyone in any way he can, is a B4B superstar because he spends hours every week picking up and transporting big, bulky items that have been donated. Call on him for anything, and he's there with a smile on his face.
We wonder what Boquete did before the Hursts joined our community. When you see them, give them a hug and a big thanks for all they do.
