Bid4Boquete Bigger and Better Than Ever
New Website Makes Bidding a Breeze Bid4Boquete, the community's largest charitable umbrella organization, is ready to launch its newly revised website. Work to make the site more user-friendly began at the close of its most successful fund raising year ever in March, and the completion marks the kick-off of this year's Bid4Boquete effort.
The project incorporates the auction gallery and bidding process within the website and combines an easier, more effective way to see items while, at the same time, providing sponsors with greater visibility and more prominent recognition and logo display.
The new Auction Gallery is categorized for easier browsing, and many items—such as artwork, photographs, and handicrafts—are either expandable or promoted in a slideshow format with multiple photograph.
In addition, there are now two separate forms for Buy It Now and Bid, making it easier to complete a transaction. News articles and photographs of previous events have been updated, as has the page for Volunteer Resources which provides help for volunteers soliciting donations. An Events Calendar will be added soon. The work on the website, undertaken by Darlene Lindholm, incorporates suggestions given by the many shoppers, donors, and sponsors who support the efforts of this community-wide organization.
Last year, Bid4Boquete issued grants to 11 local charities for a total of more than $80,000.
