As many of you already know, the Tuesday Meeting is a weekly event held in the BCP Theater. Its purpose is to bring information of interest to the community, especially knowledge that helps the expat community better understand and/or adapt to the Panamanian culture . Over the past ten years a wide diversity of subjects have been presented including explorations of the history and culture of Boquete, Chiriqui and Panama; demonstrations of techniques regarding health and safety; descriptions of local flora and fauna; the intricacies of Panamanian law; ways to identify and prepare locally grown fruits and vegetables and a host of other topics of interest to the our community. As a result, many of the current residents have learned a great deal about their new culture and environment - and how to make the most of life here in Boquete. |
However, due to the passage of time and the many changes that have occurred in the makeup of our population, we need to re-examine the needs of the community so we get the right mix of people or organizations to speak at the weekly meeting. So, we are turning to you for suggestions. Please respond with your ideas regarding subjects for the meetings - and/or the names of people or organizations you believe could make presentations of interest to the community. Your input will be used to schedule future topics for the Tuesday meeting. |
Responses should be sent to: Dave Ross (daveross1@outlook.com). Thanks in advance for your input. |
