[News Boquete] Animales clinic re-cap and BIG NEWS

On Sunday August 17, we spayed or neutered 123 animals: 65 dogs and 58 cats.  It was a calm smooth running clinic…except for the puppy that arrived in such bad shape that she had to be transfused twice!  The pup is now in Dottie's able care and is doing a bit better every day.    With five vets working and plenty of volunteers, we were able to get through the day quickly and locked up by five.

Nancy Halbert brought not only breakfast but a fabulous lunch as well.  Along with Rodrigo's lettuce, it was fine dining for the volunteers! Thank you, Nancy!  And as always, the vets and volunteers were thrilled to have the pizzas donated by Mike and Heidi.

With any luck, that clinic will be our last in our cramped little space.  Our last two clinics of the year, Sept 28 and Oct 26 will be at El Cacho gymnasium behind the Terpel station just outside of town.

 Please join us at 7:30 AM on Monday at our property to cheer on Victor and his crew as we finally begin the building of our facility.  We will be serving coffee and donuts as well as champagne and juice.  This is the day we have been waiting for and worked toward for so long; we hope to see you there.

Sunday September 14 is the long awaited much anticipated World Famous Amigos de Animales VENTA de PATIO.  This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever.  Please help us by donating your used clothing or housewares to this fun event.
