[News Boquete] Quilting Classes in Boquete

We have had repeated requests to do a quilting class in Boquete.  We have now found the space, tables, chairs, teachers and have selected dates.  We will teach either August 21 and 22 or August 28 and 29 and then again on September 4 and 5.  The classes will be held 9-3 each day and will cost $50.00 for four classes and materials are extra.  That is 28 hours of instruction and help, you do the math. You will have to bring your own sewing machine unless you let me know that you need a machine to use.

We will teach the rail fence quilt and 7 variations on it.  You can see the quilts on line and I will have an album to share for those who are on Google+ and there are pictures on Facebook:  Volcan Quilters.  This class is for those who want to learn to sew or learn to do patchwork and quilting.  It is for those with little or no experience.

For students with experience I am going to teach foundation or paper piecing at the same time and location.  Cost is the same.

I am not bringing fabric so a shopping trip to Volcan before the class is probably wise.  I will have a list of materials for those that register for the classes.

Hemos tenido reiteradas solicitudes para enseñar clases de acolchar en Boquete y hemos localizado espacio en las aulas, mesas, sillas, maestros y tienen fechas. Vamos a enseñar ya sea 21 de agosto 22 y agosto 28,29 y luego de nuevo septiembre 4,5. Clase será de 9-4. Esa es una clase de acolchado de cuatro días o unas 25 horas de clases por $ 50.00, los materiales son de pago y tienes que llevar tu propio equipo.
