[News Boquete] Clinic re-cap and DATE CHANGE

On Sunday July 27, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 154 animals, 96 dogs and 58 cats.  It was raining cats and dogs – and kittens and puppies as well!  We had a chaotic start to the day as the cats and kittens were coming out so fast, we had to scramble to keep up with them.

 

We had 4 vets and one tech this time which ensured that we got through the day efficiently and the vets were on the road back home by 6 pm.

 

We would like to give a special note of appreciation to our super-volunteer Audrey Stoeckel.  At every clinic you can find Audrey down on the floor working with the big dogs.  Not everyone is able or wants to do this, but Audrey can always be counted on to work the floor and the dogs seem to love her.  Thank you Audrey!

 

And also a big thanks to Barbara Phillips who has, since joining us, been taking all our dirty sheets and towels and washing them at her house.  This is a wonderful gift of time and is a big savings for Animales when every penny counts.

PLEASE NOTE!  The next clinic will be on Sunday August 17, same time, same place, just 2 weeks earlier than usual.  This was the only Sunday in August on which we could get all the vets together.
