LAS HERMANAS DE ACOLCHADO DE VOLCAN
Volcan Quilters (Las Hermanas de Acolchado de Volcan) will hold a tea in David on Saturday, August 30th from 2-5 pm. There will be a variety of items for sale including quilts, wall hangings, purses, table runners and pillows.
Volcan Quilters is a community volunteer program that in the past 5 years has taught quilting to over 250 local women as a means of providing a home-based income. You can see photos of the students' work on our Facebook page: Volcan Quilters
Tickets for the tea are $2.00 which includes punch, coffee, snacks and 2 raffle tickets for a drawing of several prizes. Malcolm Henderson has generously offered the use of his home which is conveniently located just a few blocks from Plaza Terronal (Do-It Center). Directions: Heading towards Boquete from the Pan Am Highway at the corner of Novey and Ricardo Perez, go 8 blocks and turn right at the Police/DIJ building. Continue straight 3 blocks and look for the balloons.
