April 19           Mr. Ernesto Vaughan will be our speaker.  He is the
Moderator:     General Manager and Executive Director of
Jerry               
COACECSS, R.L., the credit union of the employees
                        of the Panama Social Security system, including the
                        Social Security hospitals.
 
                              In addition, Mr. Vaughan is an Economist and is the Financial
                              Advisor to several other Credit Unions in Panama, and serves
                              as the Treasurer and main-board Director of FEDPA Insurance.
 
                               Mr. Vaughan will explain the importance of Credit Unions in the
                               financial landscape of Panama and some advantages for the
                               expat community in Chiriqui. 
 
April 26           The Chiriqui Players artistic director, Jim Hatch, will be

                        comedy "Dead Man's Cell Phone".  Show dates for this
                        play are in mid-May.
 
May 3              There has been a lot of discussion on Boquete.nng.com

Dianne            In response, we have Hospital Punta Pacifica and BUPA
                        International Health Insurance Companies coming.
                        Anna M. Garcia de Aguirre from Punta Picifica and
                        Gonzalo de la Guardia from International Health
                        Insurance will be speaking.
 
May 10            Attorney Nixia Guerra will discuss the New Identity
Moderator:     Card for Foreigners and, foreigners rights in Panama.
 
                              The Personal Identity Card is an identity document issued
                        by the Electoral Tribunal.  It is a unique document of personal
                        identification required for trade shows, civilians and police in
                        the Republic of Panama.  This issue will be totally covered in
                        my presentation.
 
                        She will also address foreigners rights in Panama...what to do
                        in different situations and cases and will answer all questions
                        regarding these subjects after the presentation. 
 
                        Don't miss this meeting.  It will be very help full for you if you 
                        live or plan to live in Panama.

         Buenos Vecinos de Boquete
Buenos Vecinos de Boquete is a small group of volunteers who deliver food 
supplies to the handicapped and elderly on a monthly basis. You can make
donations of food or money (or both) at the Tuesday meeting. For more
information, see Irene at the meeting. 
 
                  Used Book Sales
Well over 350 used books DVDs and CDs for sale and U.S. stamps
for your
mail. All proceeds from the book sales are equally divided between
Handicap Foundation of Boquete , Buenos Vecinos and Carolain Alvarez
Concepcion who is blind.  Now also selling Milagros Pinzon's book about
Boquete for $5.00 and Stanley Heckadon-Noreno'sbook "Naturalists on the

Isthmusof Panama" for $15.00. Donations of books, Cds, DVDs, magazines
and jigsaw puzzles will be gratefully received.
